hey hos,
dairy rorita post over here.

this is the new fully shirred tiered jsk from baby.

here's a quick review from any fatties thinking of ordering it:

**this is a JUMPERSKIRT...the arm holes are huge, but i don't wear long sleeve blouses so i have to find a way to make due (a cami?) so my bra doesn't show.
**the elastic is not as hard to stretch as other jsks, but it still probably maxes out around 52" like all the others
**if you have big hips you may or may not have a problem with this. it is semi restricted in the skirt area because of a special lining on it--so unless your hips can function as a natural petticoat, you may not want to try this at much larger sizes.
**it's very comfortable
**the torso isn't as long as other baby styles, and it looks almost babydoll on my huge chest :SSS
**i love it anyway

I'm lol'ing at this new release from Torrid.

Remember that troll post about plus size lingerie on egl?

I think I found her solution here:

Lace pearl g string.

It looks fucking ridiculous.

I noticed that bodyline has added a bit on the website under "questionnaire" about inquiry about larger sizes.

Located on the main page, lower right hand corner

I guess my basic recommendation would be to fill it out especially for one of their very basic blouses. It seems really hard to find basic plus size lolita blouses so a "group effort" of filling out the questionaire for one item like one type of blouse might actually get approved.

My dream dress came in the mail yesterday (ahaha, I'm sure some of you are sick of those words, but its true. I've been pining for this dress for over a year) so I decided to try something out.

x-posted to egl_plus and my own journal so my apologies if you see it more than once.
23rd-Jul-2008 08:49 pm - More shirred tartan
Incase us fatties didn't have enough shirred tartan jumpskirts, Baby has just released/re-released another one.

I took the plunge. I had no idea if this cutsew would fit but I gave it a shot and was rewarded.

I have a 41 inch bust and a 36 natural waist. I do not think I would recommend this cutsew to anyone much bigger than me maybe a 44-45 inch max before it looks and feels too stretched out.

When I put it on I thought it looked really short until I put on a skirt at my natural waist and was surprised at how well balanced it made my whole body look. The fabric is nice and thick which means it is pretty forgiving on us who are more shapely than say your regular t-shirts are. One good thing is you can unbutton the top so it is nice and easy to put on and take off. All I can say is this cutsew has made me realize how much nicer they are than compared to brand blouses made in tall-size or their size L.
